Those who move in the same Twitter circles as us will probably know about The Occultaria of Albion, which is the work of author Richard Daniels and illustrator Melody Phelan-Clark. If not, this feature isn’t a bad place to start.

Billed as ‘a part work series for inquisitive minds’, the official website describes the project as follows:

‘Each edition of the Case File series explores a different location where hauntings, time-slips, cryptids, curses and all manner of supernatural events have occurred. It is a mystical collection of the mysterious, a broadcast from a forgotten frequency, another Albion. The OA is a world designed by torch and moonlight dedicated to revealing the truth about the paranormal.

In its various editions you will learn about such things as:

• The Lost Glove Society
• Unwitchers
•The Nihlex Corporation
• The Sinister Sisters Biker Gang
• And much more…’

On Friday 23 September, Daniels will perform a 1.5 hr show based on the Occultaria at Louth Town Hall in Lincolnshire. Chasing the Wolves of Weird promises to be a ‘an enlightening and terrifying journey into an alternate realm filled with strange conspiracies, cryptids, ghosts, UFOs and cheese sandwiches’, all for the bargain price of £7 in advance or £10 on the door.
