Indie Film Showcase

on 06/03/2022

On 6 March 2022, the London Horror Society will show more than two hours of short films at the Hen & Chickens Theatre in North London, marking their return to in-person events.

If you’ve been to the Unrestricted View Horror Film Festival, you might have seen their ‘London Horror Society Presents…’ series of events. They brought an impressive range of homegrown indie horror, including short films like The Stomach by Ben Steiner and Shortcut by Prano Bailey-Bond, who went on to make the award-winning Censor.

From the press release:

‘The London Horror Society has been dedicated to supporting grassroots horror cinema for over 7 years, and we’re so proud to have well over 1,300 committed horror fans and filmmakers in our ranks.

We have launched the Indie Film Showcase to do what we love best – bringing incredible short genre films from hugely talented filmmakers, to the wonderfully supportive UK horror community.’

And, quoting society founder Chris Nials:

‘We are so pleased to be able to finally bring back our in-person screening events, and our team have been working so hard in the background to ensure we’re able to do this safely. And I’d like to personally thank the team at the Hen and Chickens for accommodating us.’
