Hex and The Droving
now free to watch online
by Ellis Reed
Hex (2019) and The Droving (2020) – two feature-length horrors by Rubicon Films – are available to watch for free on Youtube. Better yet, since the filmmakers tweeted the links, you know it’s legit.
They’re both present and correct on the platform, here and here, although Hex has been miscategorised as a slasher.
The films are recommended by me as superb examples of serious low-budget cinema, and fans of folk horror, certainly, should make a beeline for both. If you don’t want to take my word for it, rest assured that Kim Newman – who surely counts as Brit horror royalty – is also a fan (‘I was impressed with Hex, and I’m even more taken with The Droving’ – source).
If you don’t want to put up with ads, you can rent or buy the films on Amazon Prime as normal.
