to hit cinemas on 1 April, streaming on 4 April

Blue Finch Film Releasing will present Homebound in cinemas on 1 April, with a digital release to follow on 4 April.

The film stars Aisling Loftus (A Discovery of Witches) and Tom Goodman-Hill (Humans). It’s the feature film debut of director Sebastian Godwin, and the synopsis is as follows:

‘When Richard decides to take his new girlfriend Holly home to meet his three estranged children, Lucia, Ralph and Anna, they soon discover his ex-wife missing and the children behaving strangely. As their actions become gradually more disturbing, Holly begins to unearth a dark and twisted secret.’

The film emerged from Film London’s Microwave project and is supported by the BFI and BBC Film. It already has some good buzz around it, with four star reviews from the Hollywood News (‘you will be chilled to the core’), Eye for Film, and Heaven of Horror.

At the time of writing, there are seven reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and they’re all ‘fresh’, so I’ll be adding it to my personal watchlist. Check out the trailer below.
