British Library Publishing have tweeted the imminent arrival of two new titles in their fantastic Tales of the Weird series.

First up is The Night Wire and Other Tales of Weird Media, edited by Aaron Worth, which will land this month. According to the tweet:

‘Tracing the fiction of fear of new technologies from the 1890s to the 1950s, this new collection brings together the best tales of haunted or uncanny media from classic – and unjustly neglected – writers of the supernatural.’

Hot on its heels is Our Haunted Shores: Tales from the Coasts of the British Isles, edited by Emily Napier, Jimmy Packham and Joan Passey, which is due to follow next month. According to the tweet:

‘In this new collection, the founders of the Haunted Shores Research Network have curated a chilling literary tour of the coasts of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, including tales of woeful shipwreck, lighthouse terrors and uncanny spirits amid the bustle of the harbourside.’

Keep an eye out for both titles, and look at our previous coverage here.
